The weather is nice and there’s still time to get your high school senior photos done in time for your yearbook! Here are some recent portraits I shot for Missy outdoors on location. Missy is a few years out of high school but she still looks like a senior!
My preference is to schedule location portraits for early in the morning or very late in the afternoon. This is when the daylight is most accommodating for portraits.
Some of my Senior Photo Sessions can be a combination of both studio and outdoor portraits. If it’s a morning senior session, it’s best to shoot outdoors first and then finish at the studio. For afternoon sessions we can do the opposite if possible, doing your studio portraits first and then going on location afterwards as the light gets better.
What about weather? Clouds or overcast days are not a problem. In fact, it can be good. As long as it’s not raining, very windy or too cold, we can create some great outdoor portraits for you!
Missy’s session was late morning on a day that was pretty hot. We were fortunate to have some cloud cover that would occasionally diffuse some of the direct sunlight. That gave us the opportunity to move out of the shade a few times and mix up the lighting a bit too.
